Life Coaching

Sometimes we’re clear on what it is that we want, but not how it is that you want your life to be, so we just stay stuck. The goals we’ve set for ourselves sometimes just aren’t that inspiring and we lose the energy for them. There’s an inner conflict telling us what we ‘should’ be doing, rather than what we WANT to be doing. Sometimes we have limiting self beliefs. This negative self-talk has been programmed into you from a very early age and is played on repeat in your head.

Life coaching can help you to address any area of your life you want to make a change in. It focuses directly on identifying what you wish to achieve in the present and future.

Life coaching will provide you with the focused support and encouragement that will really help you:

  • Set or refocus your goals

  • Recognise your skills, talents and uniqueness

  • Build your confidence and strengthen positive self-belief

  • Promote self esteem

  • Prepare you for potential challenges

  • Move past obstacles/road blocks

  • Develop practical strategies for a better quality of life

  • Improve your relationships

 

These are some of the types of things that people come to me for:

  • You have a goal you want to achieve or a change you want to make and you would like help finding the motivation to ensure that you nail it.

  • There’s an area of your life that you’re not happy with and you really want to address it (e.g. finances, relationships, career, emotional health, weight management, life purpose, clutter, addictive behaviours).

  • You feel like you have lost your way a bit and want help to reconnect to who you really are and what you want from life.

  • You are lacking self-confidence, self belief or self worth, and it’s getting in the way of how you want your life to be. You recognize that this doesn’t serve you and would like help to become the confident, self-valuing person that you want to be.

How does it work?

Clarifying goals

We look at where you are now and establish where you want to be. This may include getting a new job, losing weight, finding or ending a relationship, etc. The first step is to decide what you want to focus on.

Taking steps

The next step is to help you break down your goals into achievable steps. You will be given tasks and exercises to enable you to complete the steps needed to reach your goal.

Overcoming obstacles and barriers

A number of questions and techniques will help you identify obstacles and barriers that could hinder your progress. Different strategies will be adopted to remove these obstacles. I will help you to fully understand and address the root causes of any of problematic blocks.

 

I will ask thought-provoking questions and will be completely honest with you. I may also challenge where I see any negative self-talk or self-limiting beliefs that I think might be holding you back. I’ll help you define exactly what it is that you want out of life and support you in creating the steps to get there.
