Welcome — I’m Kathy Shaw, an integrative therapist and clinical supervisor registered with the BACP.

I work with adults and teenagers who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, stress, or emotional pressure, helping them feel calmer, clearer, and more in control of their lives.

My mission is to help people feel mentally lighter by addressing the root causes of their struggles, not just the symptoms.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet still feel stuck in patterns of worry, self-criticism, or emotional survival. Often what’s missing isn’t insight, but a safe and compassionate relationship with themselves.

My approach is trauma-informed and depth-focused, creating a space where we can gently explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity and understanding. Together we work to reduce anxiety, build emotional resilience, and develop a stronger sense of internal safety and self-trust.

Over time, many clients begin to feel more grounded, less reactive, and more confident in who they are.

This work isn’t about becoming someone different — it’s about reconnecting with who you already are beneath the noise.

What I Can Help You With

Many of the people I work with appear to be coping well on the outside, yet internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted by constant overthinking. You may be thoughtful, self-aware, and capable in many areas of your life, yet still find yourself caught in patterns that are difficult to shift.

Perhaps your mind rarely switches off. You may notice a persistent sense of anxiety, a strong inner critic, or a tendency to question and second-guess yourself. Over time this can become draining, leaving you feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure how to find a sense of calm and stability within.
