Welcome — I’m Kathy Shaw, an integrative therapist and clinical supervisor registered with the BACP. I work with adults and young people who are thoughtful, reflective, and emotionally aware, yet find themselves living from self-doubt, inner criticism, or emotional survival rather than self-trust and clarity.
Many people I work with don’t lack insight — they lack a compassionate, safe relationship with themselves. My approach focuses on transforming how you relate to your inner world. Together, we gently explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and protective patterns — not to judge or fix them, but to understand them with compassion and clarity.
I offer a trauma-informed, depth-based approach that supports nervous system regulation, eases anxiety and self-criticism, and helps cultivate a deeper sense of internal safety and trust. We explore coping strategies with care, honouring how they once helped you survive and allowing them to evolve in ways that better support your life today.
Over time, this work helps people feel more grounded, less reactive, and more confident in themselves. Clients often describe feeling truly heard — sometimes for the first time — and noticing a deep internal shift rather than just intellectual insight. This work isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about reconnecting with who you already are beneath the noise.
I offer confidential therapy and clinical supervision in Northwich and online. If you’re considering therapy, you don’t need all the answers — just a willingness to begin.
