Counselling - Talking therapy

Are there times when you look at your life and think that everything should feel ok, but it doesn't? You feel in a constant state of overwhelm but you're not even sure why. You have the feeling that the life you are living and the person you are pretending to be isn't who you truly are. You've tried ignoring these feelings in the hope that they go away but they keep resurfacing time and time again and you are recognising that the weight of "living a lie" is beginning to take its toll on you. You've made the decision to look into counselling but you're still unsure what you will get from it and more importantly if it will help!

As an experienced therapist and having experienced counselling myself I believe that counselling provides the space and time to look at your life and talk about your life in a way in which you may never have done before. It is a confidential space to explore and navigate your feelings. A place to look at yourself, your choices and your desires, so that you can truly get a sense of who you are now, what has brought you to this place and what you want going forward in life.

As your counsellor I will help you to:

  • invest time and energy into yourself

  • understand why you think and feel the way you do

  • accept yourself and others

  • reduce your self doubt and your critical voice

  • find your own solutions to problems you face

  • gain a sense of freedom to be who you truly are

By gaining an awareness and acceptance of your circumstances you can find ways to be more fulfilled- with or without making major changes to your life.
